For the first time in the collaborative event’s history, Boiler Room and Sugar Mountain will host a two-day takeover of completely different artist line-ups.

Coldplay have broken a new attendance record at Marvel Stadium, displacing AC/DC from atop the throne.

The band reportedly defended a fan injured while crowd surfing, with reports claiming that a security guard failed to protect fans during the show.

“We wanted to create an experience where attendees feel like they are out in nature without the long commute,” explains Gateway Festival organiser, Mitchell Gee.

"I looked at the press, and a gentleman wrote an article saying we ruined his night... I was like, ‘Oh s**t’."
