This year, the honour goes to Grammy Award-winning rapper Kendrick Lamar, who will be joined by R&B singer SZA. He said of his upcoming performance, “Rap music is still the most impactful genre to date. And I’ll be there to remind the world why. They got the right one.”
Lamar follows the 2024 Super Bowl Halftime Show headliner, Usher. Last year, The Music reported that Usher’s performance was the most-watched Halftime Show of all time and even garnered three Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Variety Special (Live).
Ahead of Kendrick Lamar’s headline slot at this year’s Super Bowl Halftime Show this Sunday (or Monday, 10 February in Australia), Live Football Tickets dove into YouTube data to find the most-watched Super Bowl Halftime Shows of all time.
Topping the list is Dr. Dre’s iconic 2022 Halftime Show, which featured an all-star line-up of hip-hop icons, including Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar, and racked up 324 million views on YouTube.

Second on the list is Shakira and Jennifer Lopez’s performance in 2020, gathering 320 million views. Rihanna’s 2023 performance is in third with 257 million views, where the singer ran through a medley of hits and revealed her pregnancy. Also appearing in the top 15 most-watched Super Bowl Halftime Show list on YouTube are The Weeknd, Katy Perry, Justin Timberlake, Maroon 5, and others.
