South Korean indie rockers The Rose are heading to Australia in October, recently announcing two highly anticipated tour dates.
The acclaimed band are bringing their ROSETOPIA World Tour to our shores, building upon an impressive career that’s seen them perform at global festivals such as Coachella and Lollapalooza.
For their Australian visit, The Rose will perform at Melbourne’s Festival Hall on Friday, 9 October, and Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion on Sunday, 11 October. Tickets are now available – head to the Rosetopia website for more details.
The Rose formed in 2017. Comprised of vocalist and guitarist Woosung, vocalist and keyboardist Dojoon, drummer Hajoon, and bassist Jaehyeong, the four-piece are recognised for their emotional songwriting, distinctive sound that spans alternative rock, indie, and pop, stunning vocals, and energetic live performances.
The band have amassed a devoted fanbase with the release of rocking hits such as She’s in the Rain, Sorry, RED, Back to Me, Alive, and Childhood.
Band members Dojoon, Hajoon, and Taegyeom enlisted for military service in 2020 – Woosung was not required to serve in the Korean military as he’s a US citizen – and were discharged in 2022, returning to music to an enthusiastic response from fans.
The group’s most recent album, Dual, was released in September 2023, with the EP, Wrld, arriving two years later. The Rose made their Australian debut in 2018.
