Supanova Adelaide & Brisbane Grow With Elijah Wood, Graham McTavish & More

Adelaide and Brisbane will be the new homes of Middle-earth magic in October and November, when the Supanova Comic Con & Gaming Expo takes over both cities.

Adelaide and Brisbane are the places to be for fans of all things pop culture, but especially Middle-earth, when Supanova takes over both cities later this year.

Last month, the first Supa-Stars announcement for Adelaide and Brisbane arrived, with Sean Astin (The Lord of the Rings, Stranger Things), Gina Torres (Firefly, Angel, Suits), Alan Tudyk (A Knight’s Tale, Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story), Anson Mount (Star Trek: Discovery), and many others revealed to attend.

Now, the roster of Supa-Stars has grown, with Frodo Baggins himself, Elijah Wood, returning to Supanova for the first time in seven years. Figures from Middle-earth don’t stop there, with Jed Brophy and Bruce Hopkins making encore appearances after their debuts in Sydney earlier this year.

The Hobbit’s Bombur, Stephen Hunter, also returns to the beloved expo, where he’ll be reunited with co-star Graham McTavish, who fans know for additional key performances in Outlander and House of the Dragon.

Both cities will feature even more excitement, including X-Men ’97 voice actor Lenore Zann, Mitchell Hope (The Descendants), Lincoln Lewis (Tomorrow, When the War Began, Home and Away), and Neil Fanning (Scooby-Doo). Plus, Brisbane attendees can hang out with Nathan Jones (Mad Max: Furiosa, Mortal Kombat) and John Jarratt (Wolf Creek).

The Supanova Comic Con & Gaming expo takes over the Adelaide Showground from Friday, 30 October to Sunday, 1 November, and the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre from Friday, 6 to Sunday, 8 November. Events on the Gold Coast, Melbourne, Sydney, and Perth will be held in 2027.
