It’s been ten years since Matt Okine and Alex Dyson pulled off the impossible: hosting five raves in five days.

That was after they graduated from their triple j days. But what would five raves in five days look like in 2026? This October, punters will find out: 5 Raves in 5 Days returns as a five-city national tour.

The tour’s revival arrives as the Matt and Alex podcast is revamped on LiSTNR, and just like a decade ago, the shows continue to spotlight Australian music. Across the tour, Matt and Alex will be on stage with a rotating roster of Australian artists and special guests, ignoring doctor’s orders by partying across five consecutive nights.

Kicking off proceedings at Brisbane’s Crowbar on Thursday, 29 October, the excitement continues at Sydney’s Manning Bar on Friday, 30 October, followed by Perth’s Amplifier Bar on Saturday, 30 October, Adelaide’s Jive on Sunday, 1 November, and concluding at Melbourne’s 170 Russell on Monday, 2 November.

Tickets to 5 Raves in 5 Days are now available via the 5 Raves in 5 Days website. Fans can tune in to LiSTNR on weekdays to hear Matt and Alex reveal line-up clues and artist announcements, special guests, and the chance to win tickets to the events.

While Matt and Alex will be pulling the glow sticks out of their drawers, this time around, the pair will be utilising ear protection and wearing comfortable shoes – responsible raving, five days in a row, with the events having the friendly end time of 10:30 pm.

Each city participating in the rave journey will feature its own line-up of homegrown artists and special guests, with the entire tour roster to be revealed this month and into September.

Matt Okine said of reviving 5 Raves in 5 Days, “Book the babysitter, grab a new pair of speed dealers from the servo sunnies rack and prepare yourself for ‘5 Raves in 5 Days’. We’re pumped to be announcing some unbelievable acts to join us on tour.”

Alex Dyson added, “For far too long raves have been the domain of the young and energetic. We want to prove that while millennials might not be able to own a house, we still 100% own the dancefloor.”
