Special Guest Confirmed For Massive Attack's 2026 Australian Tour

We’re just a few weeks away from Massive Attack’s long-awaited return to Australia, and on Friday (17 July), tour promoters Frontier Touring confirmed who would open the shows.

Massive Attack will perform in Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne next month—tickets to the Sydney and Melbourne shows have sold out, and limited tickets remain in Brisbane.

Now, fans know they should turn up early, as Gurnai/Kurnai and Yorta Yorta artist, DJ and producer, DJ PGZ, will open all three shows.

DJ PGZ is one of the biggest names in Australia’s underground electronic music scene. He’s played at some of Victoria’s biggest festivals, including Meredith Music Festival, Dekmantel Naarm, and Pitch Music & Arts, runs his own Ecstatic Mob record label, and rose to public awareness after attending numerous techno parties and doofs, fostering a community in the underground scene.

DJ PGZ said of his addition to the shows, “I grew up hearing Massive Attack on rage and in record shops. Supporting them on their tour is a career highlight and an incredible moment for my younger self. I love the way they have taken a stance on social and environmental issues.”

On his Instagram Stories, he added, “Excited to hit the road with Massive Attack next month & to begin the tour in Brisbane where my deep love for music began is surreal.

“They inspire me sonically with their output creatively, and their stances socially and environmentally is something that makes me want to be better. Shout out Frontier Touring for putting me on too.”

Massive Attack, hailing from Bristol, led by founding members Robert “3D” Del Naja and Grant “Daddy G” Marshall, arrive in Australia this August after a 16-year wait. Their Australian shows follow a short, exclusive run in Europe, where they’ve been joined by frequent collaborators Elizabeth Fraser and Horace Andy.
