Bryan Adams was due to perform at RAC Arena in Perth last night (9 February), but the show was postponed due to a “water supply issue.“

The bad news was announced by promoters Frontier Touring on Facebook at approximately 9 pm AWST—not long before Adams was due to perform. The announcement reads:

We regret to advise that tonight’s performance by Bryan Adams is postponed due to an external Water Corporation water supply issue to RAC Arena which could not be resolved.

All existing ticketholders will be notified by email of an update as soon as possible and need not take any action at this point in time.

Fans waiting to get into the show also reported receiving a text message that read: “Due to an external Water Corporation issue, doors continue to remain closed for the time being,” via a post shared on the r/Perth subreddit. “All efforts are being made to resolve this issue. We will continue to keep you informed.”

Also posting on Facebook, Water Corporation revealed that wastewater was “overflowing” onto Wellington Street, and acting on the advice of the Department of Health, the show was postponed.

UPDATE at 12:15 pm on Monday, 10 February: The concert won’t be rescheduled, Frontier Touring confirmed on social media. Tickets will be automatically refunded in full. Patrons should allow approximately 30 business days for the refund to be in their account.

Bryan Adams So Happy It Hurts Australian tour continues at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on Wednesday (12 February), Brisbane Entertainment Centre on Thursday (13 February), and wraps at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on Saturday, 15 February. Adams’ next tour date is scheduled for 2 March in Oklahoma; hopefully, the rescheduled Perth date will be announced for February and soon.

Reviewing the first of two sold-out shows at Rod Laver Arena, The Music’s Michael Prebeg said Adams’ long-awaited return was packed with “nostalgia and pure rock ‘n’ roll magic.”

Writing that Adams’ voice was “as strong as ever,” Prebeg added: “From the get-go, Adams delivers a powerful, nostalgic and electrifying set to keep energy levels at a steady high.”

Bryan Adams is performing 26-song setlists in Australia on this tour. You can find out more about the set here.
