Canadian troubadour Bryan Adams started his So Happy It Hurts Tour in Melbourne last night (6 February) with a bang, playing 26 songs for his eager fans.
The first of two sold-out nights at Rod Laver Arena, The Music reviewer Michael Prebeg said the singer’s long-awaited return was packed with “nostalgia and pure rock ‘n’ roll magic.”
Writing that Adams’ voice was “as strong as ever,” Prebeg added: “From the get-go, Adams delivers a powerful, nostalgic and electrifying set to keep energy levels at a steady high.”
And keep the energy high he did. Throughout his 26-song setlist, Adams tore through classics like Heaven, Summer Of ‘69, Run To You, When You’re Gone, (Everything I Do) I Do It For You, and more, as well as songs from his latest album, So Happy It Hurts (Kick-Ass, Always Have, Always Will, and the title track), and a few covers, one of which he sang with opening act James Arthur.
Read on to find out what you’ll see Adams perform at your show.
