Victorian Venues

From venues returning to new projects, takeovers, and more news, here are all the recent developments in music venues across Australia.

Venue closures, openings, funding, and more: here are the latest movements in music venues across the country.

Sunday, 30 March marks the final day The Gaso will operate as a music venue.

"This decision does major reputational damage to Victoria’s live music and festival sector as a whole."

"To say we are disappointed is an understatement – we are gutted," said festival Managing Director Sam Goldsmith.

"Bass is coming and it’s gonna be big at Heavy Congress," event organiser Stick Mareebo said.

"The site will be ready for festival goers on Thursday when gates open and the party begins," festival organisers teased.

Festival organisers told The Music that ensuring punters' safety is the festival’s “number one priority” after Buloke Shire Council recommended refusing the event's planning permit.

The owners’ response comes after claims arose that the venue is shutting down for "going woke.”

One Of One has announced a collection of awards, grants, and scholarship opportunities to be presented at each of this year's breakfast events.
