Split Enz are releasing an updated version of their 1986 Best Of album, A Best of Split Enz - History Never Repeats.

The updated release will include new songs, fully remastered audio, embossed cover art, and liner notes written by Tim Finn for fans worldwide. The album arrives on Friday, 27 November, in Australia and New Zealand; it will be available on vinyl and CD and on streaming services.

Songs that feature on the collection include I See Red, I Got You, My Mistake, Shark Attack, I Hope I Never, History Never Repeats, One Step Ahead, Dirty Creature, Message To My Girl, and more. It’s been described as the definitive Split Enz collection and a must-have release for fans.

A Best of Split Enz - History Never Repeats comes after a whirlwind 12 months for the band.

In the last year, the band reunited for their first shows in over 15 years, released volumes one and two of their early recorded output on the ENZyclopedia series, and launched Split Enz - An Adventure In Music And Design, a book celebrating their visual history, with Noel Crombie teaming up with music journalist Michael Dwyer.

Split Enz launched their Forever Enz reunion run in New Zealand, headlining this year’s Electric Avenue Festival in February. They then toured across Australia and New Zealand throughout May, taking over arenas for sold-out shows.

Formed by Tim Finn in New Zealand in 1972 before relocating to Australia in 1975, Split Enz are the masterminds behind some of the most beloved hits of the ‘70s and ‘80s.

The New Zealand rockers broke through to the world stage with their surreal theatre, combining music, costumes, and visual spectacles in their live shows and music videos.
