It’s a shame that due to gaining third place on the show a rushed release was pumped out of this obvious talent before allowing him to mature naturally.

Sure, there’s still the odd dull mid-paced groove metal moment, and Dave Peters insists on rehashing the same straight-edge clichés, but quite simply Throwdown haven’t sounded this energised since 2005’s Vendetta.

The fuzzy Creeper is a strong closer to a wonderfully listenable garage release; perfect for fans of Yuck and Best Coast alike.

The set covered a good range of material, and recent additions from his last feature The North Borders really shone.
