Sure, there’s still the odd dull mid-paced groove metal moment, and Dave Peters insists on rehashing the same straight-edge clichés, but quite simply Throwdown haven’t sounded this energised since 2005’s Vendetta.

Back in the day, Orange County natives Throwdown made some of the most gloriously ignorant moshcore this side of First Blood and Hoods. Sadly, they slowly morphed into a second-rate groove-metal band, losing fans. They essentially became inactive. Thus it's a joy to report that Intolerance, Throwdown's first release in five years, sees them re-embrace their hardcore roots, with blistering beatdowns like Fight Or Die particularly pleasing. Sure, there's still the odd dull mid-paced groove metal moment, and Dave Peters insists on rehashing the same straight-edge clichés, but quite simply Throwdown haven't sounded this energised since 2005's Vendetta.
