More Snoop Dogg More Snoop Dogg

Australian DJ Dixie’s dream has come true: he’s gotten Snoop Dogg on his new track, Crackin’ Like Dat.

Described as the “mixtape OG,” Dixie has amassed over three million streams on various platforms. His music has been released through Central Station Records and Ministry Of Sound in Australia, as well as 2Dutch, Force Of Habit, Black Hole Recordings, Aholic, Melodicity, and Enforce overseas.

In recent years, he’s toured across Australia and New Zealand, Asia, Europe, the US, and Canada. With his latest track, though, Dixie’s international star is set to grow even larger.

At the time of publication, Crackin’ Like Dat has amassed over 225,000 streams on Spotify and is making waves on Apple Music and Amazon Music. The track is a high-energy, tech house banger featuring groovy beats and Snoop Dogg’s iconic signature vocals.

Dixie said about the “how” of locking in the global icon on his song, “My people spoke to his people’s, people’s, people! Seriously though, it’s literally been my dream since I was 10 years old (when I got Snoop's first album ‘Doggystyle’ on CD) to have a feature from him on a track. I love making fun, bumpy tunes, and Snoop’s vocals are perfectly suited to it.”

Crackin’ Like Dat is out now via the international label Mind The Floor. You can check out the track below.

In August, Snoop Dogg performed during the Olympics’ closing ceremony, playing Drop It Like It’s Hot and The Next Episode, with Dr. Dre on the latter track. In addition to his performance, the legendary rapper was a successful Olympic correspondent for NBC Sports.

Snoop Dogg also made headlines when he commented on the era-defining rap battle between Kendrick Lamar and Drake, praising both artists for “raising the bar.”
