The whimsical haziness of opener Silver Tides clearly draws on My Bloody Valentine with its heavy use of tremelo. This and Feel capture the pleasantness of poppy psych acts without being bland or samey, showcasing the breathy, alluring vocals of three frontwomen. Endless Drain signifies a change in Weird Season. The brattier, more frenetic track conveys a twee sound with bolder vocals plus summery, surf-pop melody. The fuzzy Creeper is a strong closer to a wonderfully listenable garage release; perfect for fans of Yuck and Best Coast alike. They play at The Workers Club on 15 Feb.
