Men At Work Announce 2026 Australian Tour

Men At Work are teasing that they’ll be playing “all the classics you know and love” when they're on tour later this year.

Aussie rock icons Men At Work are already returning to touring later this year, appearing on the Red Hot Summer Tour with Australian Crawl. Today, though, they’ve announced a special run of headline shows.

“Heads up, Australia! Men At Work is gearing up for a few special headline shows in select cities,” the band wrote on social media this morning (12 August).

The tour begins at Sydney’s State Theatre on Tuesday, 20 October. It continues at Canberra’s Royal Theatre on Friday, 30 October, Melbourne’s Palais Theatre on Wednesday, 4 November, and concludes at Fremantle Prison on Thursday, 12 November.

For the run of headline dates, Men At Work are teasing that they’ll be playing “all the classics you know and love,” with the tour poster indicating that they’ll be performing select tracks from their seminal album, Business As Usual.

Pre-sale tickets will be available from Thursday, 13 August, at 10 am local time, followed by the general sale on Friday, 14 August, at 10 am local time. You can find more ticketing information on the Men At Work website.

Throughout October and November, the Colin Hay-led rockers will also tour across the country as part of the Red Hot Summer Tour, where they’ll be sharing stages with Australian Crawl, Birds of Tokyo, Vika & Linda, Eskimo Joe, Boom Crash Opera, and Ella Hooper. The travelling festival dates mark Australian Crawl’s first shows in 40 years.

Reflecting on the success of Men At Work, Hay shared, “The first two Men At Work records went crazy, and when you have success like that, the dust never really settles. I learned only through time and experience, not to compete with my past, but embrace it, and let it live with me…. not in the main house of course, but in the casita down the back yard.”

Hay and Greg Ham continued to tour as Men At Work from 1996 into the 2000s - Ham sadly passed away in 2012. Since 2019, Colin Hay has performed under the band’s banner with his formidably talented roster of Los Angeles-based musicians, playing an exclusively Men At Work set.

“My favourite Men At Work tour was the summer of 1981, when our stars were in ascension, and we hugged the coast of eastern Australia, and the west from memory,” Hay continued.

Speaking on his upcoming appearances at the Red Hot Summer Tour, he added, “I very much look forward to returning, 45 years on, to join the Red Hot Summer Tour 2026, to share the stage with old friends and new, and play those songs again, for all those who want to hear them!”
