Fans even got to hear some Big Star classics after the encore, but this was a night to revel in the brilliance of Chilton and give credit to an album that could’ve easily have been forgotten by all but a handful of Big Star obsessives.

The joy born out of this piece’s slapstick balancing act caps off a thrilling night in the theatre.

Though not normally thought of as a piece of machinery that’s graceful and lithe, the forklift here almost counts as another dancer, effortlessly pirouetting around the industrial space.
