With just a few weeks to go until the 2026 edition of the South Australian Music Awards (SA Music Awards), the annual celebration of music within the City of Churches has unveiled its full list of finalists.

Held at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on Tuesday, November 10th, this year will Troy Sincock and Sosefina Fuamoli returning to host the event, which recognises some of the best talent to come out of South Australia.

Leading the charge this year is none other than Swapmeet, whose Mount Zero album has seen them nominated for a total of six awards, including Best Group, Best Release (EP/Album), Best Song (for I Know!), Best Music Video, Best Studio Engineer/Producer, and People's Choice for the Rock category.

They’re not the only ones to nab multiple nods, with DEM MOB, My Chérie, and The Tullamarines all receiving five nominations each.

While DEM MOB are up for the likes of Best Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Artist, Best Regional Artist, Best Music Educator, and Best Hip Hop Artist, manager and DJ/MC Gully is also up for the Best Manager award.

My Chérie and The Tullamarines are also in close contention for a few awards, with both acts up for Best Release (EP/Album) and Best Pop Artist, alongside a trio of other categories each.

Elsewhere, Lola, The Empty Threats, Sacrificial Larynx, and The Tullamarines make up the rest of the Best Group category, while the latter two also join the likes of Any Young Mechanic, Pash, and The Hazys in the Best New Artist list.

In addition to this year’s awards, the SA Music Hall Of Fame will also induct Bad//Dreems, with the pub rock outfit taking to the stage to celebrate – months after releasing their ARIA top five album Ultra Dundee and embarking on a hiatus.

Joining them in performing on the night will be Western Arrernte multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Rob Edwards, indie folk musician Ella Ion, multi-hyphenate singer Nat Luna, and folk outfit Any Young Mechanic.

“Presenting the South Australian Music Awards every November is a highlight for MusicSA,” says MusicSA CEO, Christine Schloithe. “It is a night of celebration acknowledging the incredible depth and talent across our contemporary music industry.

“The Awards spotlight SA’s artists, the professionals that surround them, and the infrastructure that elevates them. It’s terrific to see familiar names nominated in successive years with exciting new names coming through and we wish all 2026 Award Nominees every success on the night!”

The 2026 SA Music Awards will be announced on Tuesday, November 10th at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre, with tickets to the ceremony on sale now.
