"We are working on putting more shows together," Powderfinger said after pre-sales for their reunion tour were met with an incredible response this week.

Powderfinger Profile

What a week it’s been for Powderfinger fans.

After cryptic billboards and a mysterious Instagram account surfaced last week and began teasing their reunion, the band announced they’d reform for a special run of shows on Monday (12 October).

Of course, the shows have been met with phenomenal demand, and now, ahead of the general sale opening on Monday (19 October), Powderfinger have issued a statement to fans.

Their already-announced tour, which has expanded to 26 shows across the country for September and October 2027, is expected to sell out quickly after the pre-sales were met with an incredible response.

More dates are being planned, but fans may have to wait a few weeks for announcements. Details will be shared as soon as they’re confirmed. Frontman Bernard Fanning explained:

Ok. That was a pretty weird week. We are truly humbled and overwhelmed by the response to the shows we announced.

Thank you so much to everyone that sat through the stress of trying to get tickets. We want you all to know that we understand that there is still a huge appetite for people to come and be a part of the tour, so we are working on putting more shows together.

We want everyone to have an opportunity to come but it will take a couple of weeks to string it all together. Please be patient. We hear you.

Lots of love to you all. Choose Kindness.

Powderfinger are partnering with Mission Australia for their upcoming tour. They’ll raise funds and awareness for the organisation’s work, which supports the most vulnerable people in our communities. More details about the partnership and how fans can get involved will be announced in the coming months.

The general sale for all shows, currently with limited tickets, opens on Monday, 19 October, with staggered timings to meet demand. You can find tickets here.
