Australian independent label Spunk Records have snapped up acclaimed New Zealand singer-songwriter Nadia Reid.

The deal will see Reid's debut LP, Listen To Formation, Look For The Signs next month, with its first single Call The Days out now. The Auckland-based, acoustic-folk muso released the album in her home country late last year.

Listen To Formation, Look For The Signs might be Reid's debut album, but she already has a critically-praised EP under her belt, 2011's Letters I Wrote. If you're not familiar with Reid's sound, give the new single a listen now — if you like your music a little melancholic and heartfelt, you'll probably dig this:

You'll be able to get even more acquainted with the artist when she hits Australia for her first ever shows here next month. Reid will be performing two headline shows in Melbourne and you can find the details in theGuide and The Music App.
