Melbourne Artist Sui Zhen Signs To Two Bright Lakes

And she has a new video too

Melburnian (by way of Sydney) artist Sui Zhen has been signed to renowned indie label Two Bright Lakes, with the deal coming just in time to celebrate the release of Infinity Street, the first single from her forthcoming 2015 LP Secretly Susan.

Sui Zhen — aka Becky Freeman — has been an invaluable contributor to the Melbourne music scene since her arrival in the city, with recent EP Female Basic opening ears to the possibilities of Japanese post-punk in something of a departure from her earlier, more pop-centric work. She's no stranger to a diversity of genres, though, having performed in the band Sui et Sui, as well as working as part of NO ZU and Hot Palms. Zhen participated in the 2010 Red Bull Music Academy, and keeps up appearances among the electro set with her DJ sets under the alias DJ Susan.

Have a listen to Infinity Street below. If you dig it, you can buy it on iTunes now.

Sui Zhen's Secretly Susan will be released next year via Two Bright Lakes/Remote Control Records. To learn more about the eclectic entertainer, check out her Facebook page.
