Ohios Mixtapes have just announced they will be re-releasing their 'Maps' EP on vinyl. The EP contains the b-side of the 'Maps' which also features reworked acoustic songs as a full band and new songs. 'Maps And Companions' is due for release on October 28th.

Mike Kinsella the man behind solo project Owen has just posted a new track online. The song 'No Place Like Home' is taken from his forthcoming album titled 'Ghost Town' which will be released on November 8th through Polyvinyl Records.

It isn't everyday that a band is surrounded by as much as hype as Falling In Reverse were before even playing their first show. Formed by ex-Escape The Fate lead singer, Ronnie Radke, while he was still in prison the band had high expectations to live up to and many critics to silence. Canadian melodic-hardcore outfit Counterparts is currently recording their new album, slated for an October 25th, 2011 release date. The effort is entitled The Current Will Carry Us and is now available for pre-order at the Victory Records Webstore. Defining the “hard” in hardcore, Counterparts delivers a seamless concoction of heavy and melodic elements on their crushing Victory debut. The album is brimming with aggressive positivity. “The Current Will Carry Us is smarter, angrier, faster, and heavier, all while continuing to be very melodic. This blows anything we’ve previously done out of the water,” expresses vocalist Brendan Murphy. With the welcoming of drummer Ryan Juntilla, Counterparts has solidified their line-up, completed by vocalist Murphy, guitarists Jesse Doreen and Alex Re, and bassist Eric Bazinet. “We’ve all grown up a lot since our last album, and it’s reflective through the music. We’re really proud of what we’ve done with this one,” says Murphy.

Young Statues have signed with Boston, MA’s Run For Cover Records. The band, led by songwriter/vocalist Carmen Cirignano, will release its self-titled debut CD/LP/Digital release on November 8, 2011. In the winter of 2010, a spontaneous trip to Athens, GA became the birth of New Jersey/Philadelphia indie-rock outfit Young Statues. The record first began to take shape at Chase Park Transduction Studios, where a series of songs were recorded between friends, songs that were initially never intended to be released.
