The Kite String Tangle Text Interview
What do Travis Barker, magic and Kim from The Presets have in common? This interview.. A couple of weeks ago - around the time The Kite String Tangle was busy slaying Groovin The Moo - we jumped on the old wireless to send a few texts to the man behind one of Australia's most popular electronic outfits. During our chat we discussed his time in America at South By Southwest, meeting Blink 182 drummers, comparisons to Flume, and the huge double whammy of CIRCO and Splendour In The Grass announcements. For your chance to win one of two double passes to the upcoming CIRCO Festival in Perth (details HERE), simply email [email protected] with CIRCO STRINGS in the subject header - easy.

RBMA x SITG
Red Bull Music Academy has announced their Splendour In The Grass stage, for those playing at home.. One of the few memories that have stuck with me from Splendour In The Grass last year was pretty much every night finding myself wandering over to the Red Bull Music Academy stage in a fit of lost bewilderment, and without fail finding a killer dancefloor pimped out with incredibule electronic music and mind-wobbling visuals. I didn't always figure out who was playing, but not a time went by that I didn't visit that stage and have a rad dance and get some sweet time away form the hussle and bussle of Splendour In The Grass. The RBMA Stage is returning to Splendour In The Grass this year, and they've just announced another killer line-up of acts you might know, and ones you might not, but each and every one will no doubt provide a unique sonic environment for you to have THE BEST TIME. The line-up so far looks a little something like this: Young Franco Flamingo Cassius Select Remi Sampol

All of the amazing.. After a seemingly endless wait, and about 1000 blog posts speculating on who would be on the line-up, who wouldn't, whose fake poster was the best and what Outkast were doing, Splendour In The Grass finally shut everyone the hell up and just announced the damn thing. And of course, it's all killer and zero filler. [UPDATED WITH NEW ADDITIONS - CHILDISH GAMBINO, HILLTOP HOODS & SAM SMITH) You can click on the pic above to get yourself along to the Splendour website so you may buy yourself some tickets on Friday May 2. As always make sure you're on it, because something about this line-up feels tighter butthole than last year. Outkast is of course a pretty big coup, but goddamn Interpol, City & Colour, Darkside, Kelis, Hoodoo Goddamn Gurus mate, Tune-Yards, Wild Beasts, Danny Brown... There's a lot to like... ...that also includes a super-special shout-out to our boy SABLE, who as far as we can tell is the ONLY Western Australian-based act on the whole, Aussie-stron
