It basically picks up where 2010’s Beat And Holler left off; there’s still that nod to that earthy but pop-friendly sound but here Cuarana sets out on a more soulful journey, lyrically and sonically, from the get go.

Here’s hoping that this excellent album will finally afford them some of the interest and accolades that they so clearly deserve.

It’s a really strong album full of detail and clean production flourishes.

For those who like to work for their kicks, this will be a welcome challenge.

Mala is further confirmation – as if anyone needed any – of the fact that Banhart is truly an artist.

Like a lot of Hosking’s body of work, there’s a slow burn quality to All That Beauty that will gradually see it become one of your most valued volumes.
