Despite his relatively short set of an hour, Jefferies managed to fit in enough laughs to satisfy the rowdy audience and left the stage to a huge round of applause.

Funny as always and a real pleasure to watch.

If Avery and co. can stay focussed on this endeavour for long enough to gain some momentum, he may well have something pretty special on his hands.

Sub Verses then plays like a schizophrenic idiot savant; ideas are spewed forth at rapidfire speeds, seemingly without nuance or reason at disparate ends of the spectrum.

There is something off-putting when a young person tries to offer advice on the secrets of love to an older audience. Nonetheless, Fricker has potential and it will be exciting to watch her grow as a comedian on stage.

Parker admitted it was their first time headlining the venue, which must mean that they are a “super massive band with lots of fans”. One look around the room confirmed this.
