As Sum 41 prepare to play their final-ever show this weekend, they’ve released two songs as part of the Spotify Singles series.
Playing one of their most recent singles, Landmines, live and acoustic, the Canadian punk rockers also put their own spin on a Rage Against The Machine classic, Sleep Now In The Fire.
Not the first time the band have covered the track – they have covered it live in concert on multiple occasions, including a memorable version at the French metal, punk and alternative music festival, Hellfest, in 2023.
Landmines, meanwhile, comes from the band’s final album – a double album, no less – Heaven :x: Hell, which they released last year.
“Recording these Spotify Singles has been an incredible way to celebrate with our fans around the world,” the band commented in a statement. “We’re so grateful for their support and excited to share this special session with everyone. Huge thanks to Spotify for making this experience possible.”

On Sunday, 30 March, Sum 41 are set to perform for the final time upon their induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame at this year’s JUNO Awards.
Sum 41 performed their final-ever show on Thursday, 30 January, at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto. They performed a 29-song set stacked with hits from throughout their incredible career.
The band were scheduled to say farewell to their fans in Australia in December, with a co-headline appearance at Good Things Festival and a string of sideshows. However, after frontman Deryck Whibley fell ill with pneumonia, the band pulled out of all Australian performances.
Sum 41 announced they’d be disbanding and saying farewell to their fans in 2023, wrapping up their career after 28 years.
