More Korn More Korn

Those who love some heavy metal, nu-metal, punk, rock, alternative music and everything in between are about to have a thrilling December, with Good Things returning with a self-proclaimed “bonkers” line-up.

Headlined by Korn, making their way to Australia after six long years, and Sum 41 on the second line – as part of the band’s last-ever Tour Of The Setting Sum tour in Australia – this year’s travelling rock festival is already banging.

For those wondering, Sum 41 will be celebrating their formative albums, All Killer No Filler (2001), Does This Look Infected? (2002), Chuck (2004), and their recent Heaven :x: Hell double-LP.

Also on the line-up is Violent Femmes, returning to Australia after seven years; German heavy music sensation Electric Callboy bringing the Hypa Hypa; Billy Corgan teaming up with The Delta Riggs for performances of solo and Smashing Pumpkins hits; the return of the formidable Mastodon; the teased appearance of Kerry King confirmed; and more.

Further on the bill, you’ll find Aussies, including The Living End, Jet, Northlane, The Butterfly Effect, and this year’s hottest metal band, Alpha Wolf, sharing stages alongside Bowling For Soup (their first Australian shows in over 15 years), The Gaslight Anthem (returning to Australia after almost a decade), L7, Sleeping With Sirens, and 311 (first Australian dates since 1998).

Good Things Festival has also locked in Australian award-winning songwriter AViVA, American punk rockers Destroy Boys (who were teased in a Good Things video this month), the legendary Dragon, Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls, Killing Heidi playing Reflector in its entirety, British metallers Loathe, Sydney up-and-coming metal group Reliqa, and more.

You can check out the full line-up below.

In addition to all the bands, Stage 666 – where you can watch skilled knife throwers, stunts, and more, plus a guest star from the underground nightclubs of Berlin – will return.

Good Things will return to its usual haunts over one colossal weekend, hitting Melbourne’s Flemington Racecourse on Friday, 6 December, Sydney’s Centennial Park on Saturday, 7 December, and Brisbane Showgrounds on Sunday, 8 December.

After posting a petition on social media, the Sydney Good Things has gone from 18+ to 16+, while Melbourne and Brisbane remain licensed 15+ events.

Punters can purchase pre-sale tickets on Tuesday, 27 August, at 10 am AEST. You can buy pre-sale tickets via the Good Things Festival website. General sale tickets will be available from Thursday, 29 August, at 10 am AEST via Oztix.
