Melbourne To Host First-Ever Renaissance-Themed Gig 'Renfair Rave'

In November, Melbourne will host a truly unique music event.

The cultural event you never knew you needed will make its historic debut at the Royal Botanic Gardens, off Melbourne’s CBD, in the fashion of the Renfair Rave.

Brought to punters by the medieval-minded geniuses behind the Melbourne Renfair Festival – Australia’s biggest renaissance fair, which sells out 14,000 tickets in under 24 hours – Renfair Rave will combine live dance music with an immersive, unforgettable fantasy experience.

The event, taking over Melbourne’s Royal Botanic Gardens on Friday, 20 November, will showcase live music, roving entertainers, medieval décor, and spectacular costumes. And yes, attendees are encouraged to dress up.

The live music line-up features veterans of Melbourne’s community radio scene, starring dancefloor selector Adriana, tastemaker Milo Eastwood, selector and vibe curator SWEETIE, and Yacht Club DJs.

Presented by Melbourne Renfair, I OH YOU and MG Live, Renfair Rave is part of Melbourne’s Live at the Gardens series and is a one-night-only event expected to move tickets quickly.
