Three new films have been announced to screen at this year's Sydney Film Festival, including documentary Steve Jobs: The Man In The Machine.
The film, directed by award winning documentarian Alex Gibney, gives a candid and revealing insight to the founder of Apple and it is has also been announced that Gibney will take part in a talk co-presented by the SFF and Vivid Ideas; Alex Gibney: In Conversation when the film screens on Friday, June 5 and the following week on June 12.
It will be the second film directed by Gibney that is to screen at the SFF, alongside another documentary based on late US singer James Brown entitled Mr Dynamite: The Rise Of James Brown.
Meanwhile, Among The Believers has also been announced as the latest edition to the 62nd year of the SFF.
The intimate documentary which was filmed over several years looks at the power struggle between Muslim extremists and secular leaders in Pakistan and the Muslim today, will screen on Saturday, June 13 and the following night.
Finally, direct from Cannes where filmmaker Hou Hsiao-hsien won the Best Director Award, martial arts epic The Assassin will also screen on Saturday, June 13 and Sunday, June 14.
The film is based on the tale of Nie Yinniang from the era of the Tang dynasty in 9th century China.
