Peter Garrett and his all-star roster of The Alter Egos have announced a short, intimate run across New South Wales and Queensland to sit alongside their co-headlining slot at Victoria’s Queenscliff Music Festival this November.

The tour begins at Sydney’s Mona Vale Hotel on Friday, 20 November, and continues at Eagleby’s Distillery Road Market on Thursday, 26 November, and concludes at Brunswick Heads’ Hotel Brunswick on Friday, 27 November. Their 2026 run concludes with their co-headlining appearance at the Queenscliff Music Festival on Saturday, 28 November.

Tickets to the newly announced shows will be available on Tuesday, 30 June, at 10 am AEST – you can find more ticketing information on Peter Garrett’s website.

Discussing the forthcoming tour, Garrett said, “You don’t have to doom scroll for too long these days to know that we urgently need to change how we treat our country and each other.

“Music has always been a vital way to express thoughts and feelings about the world around us, and while a fair bit of my time is now spent on these other roles, I really can’t wait to get back onstage for a few nights and make some sweet noise with my mates.”

And the mates joining him on this tour look awfully familiar.

Joining Garrett on stage are The Alter Egos, which include Midnight Oil’s legendary guitarist, Martin Rotsey. For this run, he’ll also be accompanied by Spiderbait’s Kram on drums, The JezebelsHeather Shannon on keyboards, Zoe Hauptmann – known for working with Missy Higgins, Neil Finn, and Ian Moss – on bass, and Grace and May Garrett – who perform as Raintalker – on backing vocals.

The band will perform cuts from Garrett’s two solo albums, A Version of Now and The True North, both of which topped the ARIA Australian Albums Chart, as well as an “odd Midnight Oil classic” and a couple of other “left-field choices.”
