PNAUThe Music has today revealed its first ever vinyl campaign, teaming up with Pnau to create 100 red / blue blast editions of their upcoming album Ahhcade.
The extremely limited edition is available exclusively to readers of The Music, with orders open from today. The variant has been created in conjunction with Suitcase Records, a family-owned manufacturer in Brisbane that will be creating the unique units, hand-pouring the vinyl so that each unit has its own unique swirl pattern.
Pnau’s Nick Littlemore said the vinyl would be a great addition to the album’s release, especially for superfans. With vinyl copies of Pnau’s last album Changa commanding over $800 on Discogs, orders are expected to exhaust quickly.
“It’s kind of cool. It’s got a little bit of mystery about it,” Littlemore said in this week’s cover story. “Not that many people are going to have the vinyl, because we’re only doing a small run.”
The vinyl will be the first in a series of exclusive collector’s items that The Music will be teaming up with artists and their labels to deliver for readers.
“The Music has long been the place that Australian music fans come to discover new music and artists and we’re stoked to be launching our series of exclusive vinyl records to create true collector’s items for true music fans,” said The Music publisher Stephen Green.
