Tom DelongeBlink-182’s Tom DeLonge has unveiled the first trailer for Breaking Bear, the adult animated comedy series he executive-produced.
The surprise project was announced last May. At the time, Deadline reported that Breaking Bear will parody the cliches of mobster dramas by comically blending elements of a character like Yogi Bear with an iconic series like The Sopranos.
According to the trailer, which you can watch below, it’s a bit like Yogi Bear meets Breaking Bad.
A synopsis describes the series as “a fur-flying, law-breaking, forest-saving rampage following a dysfunctional family of bears who go full criminal to stop frackers, mobsters, and a psychotic wolf pack from destroying their home.”
It continues, “As they spiral deeper into the criminal abyss, they face off against biker gangs, an egomaniacal news anchor, and their own spectacular talent for self-sabotage.”
Julien Nitzberg is the series’s showrunner, and DeLonge’s To The Stars Media (Monsters of California, Unidentified) serves as showrunner and producer.
Breaking Bear premieres on the US streaming service, Tubi, on Friday, 24 July. At the time of publication, no Australian release date has been announced.
The series features an abundance of talented voice actors, including Brendan Fraser, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Annie Murphy, Josh Gad, Elizabeth Hurley, Chris Parnell, Chris Diamantopoulos, Harland Williams, Tony Plana, and Jackie Beat.

Earlier this month, blink-182 released the 25th anniversary edition of their seminal 2001 record, Take Off Your Pants And Jacket. As part of the release, the band uploaded bonus tracks Time To Break Up, Don’t Tell Me That It’s Over, and What Went Wrong onto streaming services for the first time, and singlehandedly revived MySpace.
In 2024, blink-182 returned to Australia for a 15-date tour with special guests Rise Against. The shows marked their first run Down Under since 2013 (Travis Barker hadn’t set foot in Australia for an even longer period).
The band played 27-song setlists in Australia, which included seven tracks from their latest LP, One More Time…, with fans being treated to the live debuts of Fuck Face, Turpentine and Anthem Pt 3—the latter played in full for the first time.
