Mudhoney Announce 2026 Australian Tour

Mudhoney have announced an expansive Australian tour after it was revealed they'd headline 4ZZZ's special ZED51 concert this week.

American grunge and alt-rock pioneers Mudhoney are returning to Australia and New Zealand this October and November, and have today announced a massive tour.

Returning to Australia the first time in three years and New Zealand after a decade, it was announced this week that the band would be heading to Brisbane to commemorate 4ZZZ’s special ZED51 concert, headlining the event.

Fresh from the strong reception to last year’s ZED50 gig, organisers are keeping the momentum going with another special event this year, where Mudhoney will be joined by Custard, BARKAA, The Mark of Cain, Cash Savage & The Last Drinks, Shonen Knife, DEM MOB, the one-off reunion from I Heart Hiroshima, and more.

Now, it’s confirmed that Mudhoney aren’t just stopping in Brisbane.

Their upcoming tour begins at Melbourne’s Thornbury Theatre on Friday, 16 October. It continues with dates in Torquay, Castlemaine, Ballarat, Manly, Sydney, Newcastle, Brisbane – for ZED51, and Byron Bay, followed by dates in New Zealand, performing in Christchurch, Wellington, Tauranga, Raglan, and Auckland’s Double Whammy on Sunday, 1 November.

Tickets will be available on Tuesday, 30 June, at 9 am local time via the Press Play Presents website.

For the Australian shows, excluding Byron Bay and Ballarat, Mudhoney will be joined by special guests Primitive Ring.

Mudhoney’s latest album, Plastic Eternity, was released in 2023.
