K-pop heroes BIGBANG are hitting the road for the first time in nine years, and Australia is included on their upcoming World Tour.

The South Korean boy band formed by YG Entertainment in 2006. Currently consisting of three members: G Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung, the group was initially a five-piece. However, Seungri departed the entertainment industry in 2019, and T.O.P. left BIGBANG in May 2023. The group’s most recent tour, The Last Dance Tour, took place in November 2017.

2026 marks BIGBANG’s 20th anniversary, and back in April, they launched into the celebrations by performing at Coachella – six years after they were initially booked to perform.

Now, with their comeback in full swing, the K-pop veterans have announced a huge, 31-date run of stadium shows.

BIGBANG’s World Tour begins at Goyang’s Goyang Stadium on Friday, 21 August – the first of a three-night run. They’ll then head to the US, performing in California and New Jersey, followed by shows in Paris and London in September.

The tour continues throughout Asia and Australia, with dates booked in Taiwan, Singapore, Vietnam, Australia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia and Indonesia. The tour concludes at Taiwan’s Kaohsiung National Stadium on Saturday, 27 and Sunday, 28 February 2027.

The group is heading to Australia for just one show at Sydney’s Accor Stadium on Saturday, 31 October. At the time of publication, ticketing information hasn’t yet been announced. However, fans can sign up for updates here.

In April 2022, BIGBANG released the song Still Life – their first new music in four years and their first track as a quartet. To date, Still Life is still the group’s most recent single.

BIGBANG made their Australian debut in October 2015, when they performed at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena – then known as Allphones Arena – for two nights, and an evening at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena.
