OasisNoel Gallagher has addressed rumours that Oasis will return to stages in 2027, adding more fuel to the fire by saying that the band have “got to do something in the summer.”
He made the statement during a conversation on talkSPORT’s Drive segment on Wednesday (2 September). A majority of the conversation revolved around the soccer team Gallagher supports, Manchester City, which he discussed with presenters Andy Goldstein and Darren Bent.
As the interview came to a close, Goldstein asked Gallagher if the rumours were true that Oasis were preparing to announce a huge run of shows for 2027.
“It’s Liam, isn’t it?” Noel replied with a laugh. “He’s not into it. He’s not into Oasis anymore.”
Goldstein then noted that Liam Gallagher recently posted that he’d be leaving social media soon, to which Noel said, “Well, then there must be something happening.
“Let’s put it this way: there’s no football tournament on next year, so we’ve got to do something in the summer, right?”

In a new video Oasis posted to social media today (4 September), the tour rumours were boosted as fans and publications alike decoded easter eggs, claiming that the Britpop icons will head to Glasgow in 2027.
The clip features two boys in a fish and chip shop as the Oasis song Little by Little plays on the television behind them. The Herald Scotland notes that the video is packed with numerous Scottish references.
Easter eggs include the fridge in the fish and chip shop containing Irn-Bru, while numbers across the store seem to spell out a specific location.
The numbers include £55.84 – advertising a family special – and a radio station broadcasting at 98.92. Meanwhile, the fridge is supposed to be kept at -4; it costs £2.05 to batter anything, and the local taxi number ends in 638.
The Herald Scotland notes that the coordinates 55.849892, -4.205648 correspond to Celtic Park, Glasgow.
NME reports that tour rumours have followed Oasis this year, with articles suggesting a major UK and European tour will be announced soon. Speculated venues include Manchester’s Etihad Stadium and a grand return to Knebworth.
Oasis’s Live ’25 tour marked their first shows together since their disbandment in 2009. The highly anticipated run began at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium last July and continued with dates across the UK, Ireland, North America, Asia, Australia and South America, concluding last November.
The reunion run is the subject of the upcoming documentary film, Oasis: Don’t Look Back In Anger, which lands in Australian cinemas on Thursday, 10 September.
Upon the band’s long-awaited return to Australia, The Music’s Christopher Lewis declared, “This wasn’t late-era Oasis desperately trying to grasp the remaining sand in their hands and watching it slowly slip through their fingers. This was an imperious band revisiting their legacy.”
