Snow Patrol Tease New Song Featuring Kylie Minogue

Northern Irish band Snow Patrol have some exciting news for their fans: they’re releasing a new single next week, and it features Kylie Minogue.

As Official Charts notes, the band initially recorded their song for their 2024 record, The Forest is the Path, under the name KYLIE. However, they shelved the track until they could record it with the Australian Queen of Pop herself.

Now titled These Alarms, Snow Patrol shared a short, bright teaser on social media on Thursday (25 June), where you can hear Kylie share vocals with the group’s lead singer, Gary Lightbody. The band captioned the post:

Yes!! Next week we are releasing a song with the queen of pop herself @kylieminogue!

 

It has been a true joy to make this song with her and to spend a little time in her magical presence.

 

We are delighted that the song is soon to be out in the world and we can’t wait for you all to hear it.

 

Massive love to Kylie for being on this journey with us. We are beyond honoured and over the moon!

Kylie said of the surprise collaboration, “The story behind this song was irresistible… Hearing there was a demo called Kylie that had been living in the Snow Patrol archives was a complete surprise, and, naturally, I was curious to hear it. Gary is such a brilliant songwriter, so to be invited into the band’s world is a total honour.”

Snow Patrol last visited Australia in August 2019, when they embarked on a Live & Acoustic tour. Kylie Minogue came home last February and March amid incredible anticipation, with extra dates added to her arena tour in support of her Tension album.
