Ed Sheeran settles for second once again this week
Local compilation Spirit Of The ANZACS has maintained the top position in this week's ARIA Albums Chart.
The album, driven by country star Lee Kernaghan, has claimed the number one spot now for its third consecutive week, after debuting last month. The album, inspired by Kernaghan's visit to the Australian War Memorial in 2013, is the first number one for the country star and is fast becoming one of Australia's top-selling country albums of all time. Spirit Of The ANZACS features guest cameos by Sheppard, Jessica Mauboy, Guy Sebastian, Sara Storer, Fred Smith and Megan Washington.
As expected, recent visitor Ed Sheeran was the next best in the chart, with his 2014 album X staying at two, while his debut + also moved back into the top ten at six. The release of much-anticipated Fast & Furious 7 film last week also helped the cause of its soundtrack, with the compilation moving up from 33 to three.
Other notable album mentions this week include pop-punks All Time Low, whose new release Future Hearts entered at four and American singer-songwriter Sufjan Stevens, whose LP Carrie & Lowell debuted at 11.

There were also a handful of re-entries in the Albums Chart this week, including Arctic Monkeys 2013 album AM (15) and Brisbane champions Violent Soho, whose acclaimed LP Hungry Ghost landed at 30 after a big turn at the recent Queensland Music Awards.
A song off the Fast & Furious 7 soundtrack, See You Again, by Wiz Khalifa and featuring Charlie Puth, debuted at one in the ARIA Singles Chart this week. This pushed Major Lazer's Lean On featuring MØ and DJ Snake down to second and local boy Jarryd James and his track Do You Remember into third.
The highest singles debut came from Jamie Lawson, who recently completed his stint as Ed Sheeran's support act on his Aussie tour. His track Wasn't Expecting That debuted at 20. And as expected Sia's Big Girls Cry re-entered the 40 at 36, after its video dropped last week.
On other ARIA charts, Nicky Night Time and Nat Dunn top the Club Chart with Gonna Get Better while Foo Fighters debut atop the Music DVD Chart with Sonic Highways. The Furious 7 soundtrack is number one on the Digital Albums Chart.
