After premiering at this year’s Melbourne International Film Festival this month, the new documentary film, Jebediah: Are We OK?, is receiving a nationwide cinema rollout, complete with a series of Q&A event screenings featuring band members and the filmmakers.

The film lands in cinemas nationwide in October, distributed across Australia and New Zealand by Madman Entertainment. The release will be accompanied by an exclusive national Q&A tour, bringing Jebediah and the documentary’s creative team to fans in cinemas.

Q&A session tickets are on sale now – secure yours here. The national tour dates are listed below. General national release sessions, travelling across Dendy Cinemas, as well as independent sites across the country, will be announced soon.

Jebediah: Are We OK? explores the band behind the songs, spending time with the four-piece that’s released music since they were teenagers. Kevin Mitchell, Chris Daymond, Vanessa Thornton and Brett Mitchell discuss music, touring, and finding the balance of day-to-day life with the grind of being one of Australia’s most-loved bands.

The film examines the band’s humble beginnings and tracks the “harder aspects of growing up,” all while following their incredible 30-year journey in music, which isn’t stopping there.

Jebediah: Are We OK? is directed by Arlo Dean Cook and features a wealth of archival footage and home-movie videos spanning the band’s high school beginnings to the present day. Plus, fellow Aussie rockers such as Tim Rogers (You Am I), Phil Jamieson (Grinspoon), and Janet English (Spiderbait) all speak on their impact.

Described as a “rocking roller-coaster ride and candid cautionary tale about the price of fame,” Jebediah: Are We OK? is a must-watch.
