Next year’s Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival is looking impressive, locking in big-name international acts alongside up-and-coming artists. Plus, one of the headliners is Australian.
Beloved Australian dance trio RÜFÜS DU SOL will headline the Tennessee-based festival next June, where they’ll appear alongside fellow headliners The Strokes, Skrillex, and Noah Kahan.
While the rest of the line-up features much-hyped artists including Geese, Turnstile, Clipse, Alabama Shakes, Wednesday, Role Model, Wet Leg, and many others, it’s impressive to see a bunch more Australian acts feature on the bill.
Friday (12 June) features The Chats and Wolfmother, while Amyl And The Sniffers will perform on the Saturday (13 June), as will Tash Sultana and Confidence Man. Spacey Jane will play on the final day of the festival (14 June), sharing the stage with Kesha, Modest Mouse, Turnover, and more.
Taking place from Thursday, 11 June, to Sunday, 14 June, at Bonnaroo Farm in Manchester, Tennessee, tickets to the four-day festival will go on sale this Friday (5 December). You can find tickets and more information on the Bonnaroo website and check out the line-up below.
The Bonnaroo bill drops just after it was reported that RÜFÜS DU SOL’s Inhale / Exhale World Tour made history, being named the highest-selling electronic tour of all time.

RÜFÜS DU SOL’s Inhale / Exhale World Tour has spanned nearly 50 headline shows across four continents. The band sold over 750,000 tickets worldwide for their headline shows and performed to 1.5 million fans at festivals and their own shows.
In October, it was announced that seven Australian bands – Thy Art Is Murder, Windwaker, The Amity Affliction, Make Them Suffer, Alpha Wolf, Polaris, and Thornhill – had been announced for next year’s Sonic Temple Festival in Columbus, Ohio.
Sonic Temple followed a recent trend of Australian acts making their way to US festivals, including Austin City Limits, Coachella, and Lollapalooza.
Back in June, Aussie DJ Dom Dolla headlined this year’s Bonnaroo. He was joined by fellow locals Dope Lemon, Ziggy Alberts, Royel Otis, and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, the latter of whom performed across the festival’s three days.
