Miles Away "Endless Roads" Tour
Perth's Miles Away are set to confirm their standing at the top of the hardcore heap with their awe-inspiring third album, Endless Roads. The culmination of eight years of hard work, heartache and good times, Endless Roads is the sound of a passionate, road-hardened band at the height of their powers. Three years on from their previous effort, 2007’s Rewind Repeat, Miles Away are older, wiser and more determined than ever. Written last year during some rare downtime, Endless Roads was recorded in early 2010 at Wild Arctic studios in New York by producer Dean Baltulonis (Sick Of It All, American Nightmare), and will be released on August 20. Currently on a tour throughout Europe, this September / October the band will return to home soil for the Endless Roads Tour.

Rage Against the Machine boycott Arizona
Famous for their political lyrical content, Rage Against the Machine have joined Conor Oberst in announcing a concert in Los Angeles as a symbolic protest against Arizona's controversial immigration legislation.Playing their first hometown show in ten years, RATM are a part of a coalition of famous musicians including Serj Tankian, Sonic Youth and Kanye West who are refusing to perform in Arizona until the legislation is revoked. The debated bill, SB1070 allows police in Arizona to demand official proof of status from anybody that they suspect to be an illegal immigrant, with additional powers to arrest those who fail to provide this evidence. The law has been understandably controversial, with many claiming that it will invariably lead to racial stereotyping and discrimination.
