TSIM (Not TISM) Add Tasmanian Date To 2026 No Mistakes Tour

As TISM (or TSIM, as their tour jovially names them) ready themselves for their first national tour in decades, the masked Melbourne mirthmakers have once more expanded their upcoming trek.

Having recently added a new date in Adelaide and a further show in Adelaide, the group will now be kicking off the month of October by heading to Tasmania for a performance at Hobart’s Odeon Theatre on October 1st

“You complained, we listened,” the band wrote on a post shared to Instagram.

News of the band’s forthcoming gig in the Apple Isle was announced via a press release which sees TISM listing their own personal team list for the forthcoming Tasmanian Devils AFL team.

“The first ever Tasmanian Devils team list combines two great Tassie traditions: football and convicts,” they explain. “Although chock-full with talent, the team is not without controversy.”

The full list includes numerous public figures along with the band’s decision for their inclusion, such as previous footballers Ben Cousins, Wayne Carey, and Des Tuddenham (all listed as “crime”), the Geelong football club (“the every handball is a throw”), and even TISM themselves (“crimes against music”).

The forthcoming show will be only TISM’s third visit to Tasmania, having first touched down across from the mainland in 1992, and last visiting as part of 1998’s Caveat Emptour alongside Regurgitator and The Fauves.

TISM launched their current run of shows in Adelaide last month, headlining the opening night of the Adelaide Beer & BBQ Festival, and continue their trek this month with a trip north to the Darwin Festival in the NT.

They’ll play three nights at Melbourne’s Forum theatre, with dates in Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra, and Perth also on the itinerary.

In typical TSIM fashion, the band have also promised “a RADICALLY DIFFERENT selection of fan favourites each night” alongside “all the other weird shit that goes on at a TSIM show” as part of an admitted attempt to lure fans to attend every gig because – as a press release outlined – “TSIM wants all your money”.

Speaking to The Music recently, vocalists Humphrey and Ron expounded on what a “radically different” setlist might look like for the band.

"I think the radical difference is in the levels of the white blood cells that signify prostate cancer," Humphrey explains. "Each night, our levels will be higher and higher and that will cause a radically different sound to songs.

"I mean, we're planning to play the same song 20 times. But the audience being, of course, aficionados of TISM, the sort of people who know better than anyone else what TISM wants – and that's, you know, come along and boo us – those people will understand that it's not the same song 20 times.

"Rather, it's performed by a gentleman whose prostate cancer percentage has radically changed."

"The other thing, Humphrey, that we need to mention is that the setlists will be in different fonts every night, radically different fonts," Ron interjects. "We're going to do Times New Roman, we'll do Arial, the setlist in Wingdings is our more jazz-based set. I think you know that I'm looking forward to the Wingdings setlist.

"So we're true to our word,” he adds. “[We] will be doing a setlist of not just different fonts but different font sizes. We'll bold, we'll italicise, we'll underline – it's the full gamut for us in terms of setlists."

Tickets to the band’s Hobart show go on sale from 10am on Tuesday, August 11th, with a pre-sale launching 24 hours earlier. Tickets to other shows are on sale now.
