Sydney's Heroes For Hire have been making a name for themselves since day one and are now considered to be one of the most recognisable acts in their genre. 2010 saw the release of debut album "Life Of The Party", which the band toured relentlessly with scoring huge support slots with Unwritten Law, The Wonder Years and the No Sleep Til festival. Now the evergrowing five piece are back yet again with their new full length "Take One For The Team" produced and recorded by heavyweight Paul Leavitt. I caught up with vocallist Brad to discuss the new album, the state of pop punk and Kesha.

Reformed alternative rockers Soundgarden have recently affirmed that their first studio album in over fifteen years is expected for release next year, with the band careful not to rush any new material.Speaking to prominent news organisation Reuters, Soundgarden, namely lead guitarist Kim Thayil told fans that the band don't want to push for a hasty release, with the aim instead to take time to maximise the album's impact."If we were to say, 'Let's get this record out by the fall', I think it would put a lot of pressure on us and the quality would at some point suffer. And the more we enjoy it, the more our fans should end up enjoying it," Thayil said.Lead vocalist Chris Cornell told music publication SPIN back in March that the music itself is paramount this time around."We're putting the music first…The process of writing, recording, and being creative together is the most important thing, not meeting a deadline."

As far as EP's go, this is well-formed

Bon Iver have posted a new track online from their forthcoming new album. The track “Calgary” can be heard below, and is taken from the new self-titled album, which will be released on June 17 by Jagjaguwar through Inertia.

Man Overboard have announced that New Found Glory guitarist Steve Klein and Jesse Cannon (Misfits, Shai Hulud) will co-produce their upcoming album. The band will be working on new material in the coming months

Victory Records has announced the signing of Texan "experimental deathcore" band Design The Skyline. The band will release their eight track debut album entitled "Synthetic Cities" via Victory, presumably sometime later in the year.

A good debut from a promising new act.
