Unwritten Law lose members after physical altercation
Unwritten Law guitarist Steve "Kid" Morris and bassist Pat "PK" Kim have left Unwritten Law after Morris got into a physical fight with the band's vocalist Scott Russo. Both members released individual statements explaining the circumstances surrounding their departure:Guitarist Steve Morris said, "My decision to depart the band came to a head after this event and numerous other volatile events between Scott Russo and the members of the band and crew throughout the years. The incident broke out when we were arguing over our bus call after a show. Scott was over an hour late and I had to be home to make my son’s last tee-ball game the next morning. I wasn't expecting to be hit; that’s not the kind of thing I ever thought would happen.PK's and my decision to leave the band was not something we took lightly and I truly regret having to leave the band in this way. Confession announce album launch tour
Following the success of their debut album Cancer (2009) and sold-out national tours throughout 2010, Australian hardcore band Confession prepares to push forward. With members living in Adelaide, Byron Bay and Melbourne, the quintet took proceedings to the North Coast, to the Parkway house in Byron Bay, to write 10 new songs. Doing so essentially “made this record what it is,” as being in the house is so “relaxing and peaceful,” tells vocalist Michael Crafter. Recorded with iconic Swedish metal producer Fredrik Nordström (Bring Me The Horizon, I Killed The Prom Queen, In Flames), at his Gothenburg Studio, The Long Way Home presents an assured and strengthened outfit. “We knew he was going to make this record sound amazing and he did exactly that,” says Crafter, of the talented producer.
