Having formed ten years ago, Dutch progressive death metallers Textures are hugely respected by the musical mainstream in their home country and are making waves the world over from India to Mexico. With their forthcoming fourth album "Dualism" due out soon, we caught up with drummer Stef Broks for an exotic chat about Arnhem Land and naked women in beach houses.

Last week, in an impressive show of solidarity, Australian Amity Affliction fans inadvertently brought down the Atticus server worldwide. At 12:01pm on Thursday thousands of fans clambered to secure pre sale tickets to the Fuck The Reaper Tour and a limited edition Atticus x Amity tee from the Atticus Online store. The demand was unprecedented and overwhelming, with the site crashing almost instantly. Once back online, the pre sale sold out in mere minutes. The general ticket sale followed suit. The Melbourne 18+ show at Billboard Wednesday 12 October has now sold out. A second 18+ show has just been added at Billboard on Tuesday 11 October in response to the continued overwhelming demand. Tickets to the remaining Fuck The Reaper shows, which feature special guests Asking Alexandria and Skyway, are selling fast across the board with several more on the verge of selling out.

The cancellation of Soundwave Revolution has been confirmed by radio station Nova 969.The station spoke to festival promoter AJ Maddah, who confirmed that the reason behind the cancellation of the festival was made after the second headliner pulled out and they didn't want to put an "inferior product" on the market. Maddah said “We could have taken the option of linking through with the line-up as we have now – it would have obviously still been a much better financial outcome for us than to go through the road we have – but we just didn’t want to put an inferior product on the market.”Rumours began when the second lineup announcement was postponed and then cancelled at the beginning of last week and continued today when Steel Panther drummer Stix Zadinia tweeted the news earlier today.In a series of tweets, that have since been deleted, Stix announced the cancelation saying:"Soundwave revolution is cancelled. The rumour mill is running on overload with talk that the upcoming Soundwave Revolution tour may be cancelled. The second line-up announcement which was scheduled for Monday 1st August, never happened and today a tweet from the drummer of Steel Panther, one of the bands who are booked to perform at the event claims that the festival has been cancelled.This morning Stixadinia (Stix Zadinia) tweeted:"Soundwave Revolution is cancelled. I am bummed."This was then followed by:"Just got word from our management that the whole festival is cancelled. I hope I'm wrong but I was told it's official. Anyone hear same?""Just wait. I ain't wrong."“If I’m wrong, I’ll only let two chicks suck my dick instead of the normal 5. That’s how serious I am. Just wait. I ain’t wrong.”So far there has been no official word from the Soundwave team.
