Silverstein working on new project
Silverstein has entered the studio with producer Jordan Valeriote to record a new project dubbed Short Songs. As you might guess the record will only feature songs less than 90 seconds long. The band plan to record twenty-two songs in all for the release. This will be made up of eleven originals and eleven covers, including tracks originally by Green Day, NOFX, Descendents, Dead Kennedys and others. Drummer Paul Koehler explains of the record, "Instead of waiting for our next proper album, we decided to start writing new material for this and it came together quicker than any album before," Paul says. "Short Songs is an extension of Rescue, and a further channeling of our influences in our own material. We're writing the music that we like, and get to showcase it in this creative way." This record will be a follow up to their recently released album, Rescue. There is no set release for the album but you can watch an in studio-video below for more information.
