British reggae outfit UB40 will return to Australia in May 2027, celebrating 50 years of making music and delivering hits.

Joined by special guests Soul II Soul at all shows, the fun begins at Perth’s Ice Cream Factory on Monday, 17 May. It continues at Adelaide’s AEC Theatre on Wednesday, 19 May, Melbourne’s Margaret Court Arena on Thursday, 20 May, Sydney’s TikTok Entertainment Centre (ICC) on Saturday, 22 May, and concludes at Brisbane’s Riverstage on Sunday, 23 May.

Following the Australian dates, UB40 and Soul II Soul will head to New Zealand, performing at Auckland’s Spark Arena on Wednesday, 26 May.

Pre-sale tickets will be available on Tuesday, 11 August, at 9 am local time, followed by the general sale on Thursday, 13 August, at 9 am local time. Head to the Destroy All Lines website for more information.

Known for hits including Food For Thought, Red Red Wine and their rendition of (I Can’t Help) Falling in Love with You, UB40 are frequent visitors to Australia, last touring the country in October 2024. Another band featuring departed members, UB40 featuring Ali Campbell, visited in January 2026.

Four out of the five surviving founding members remain in UB40 and continue to record and perform together. Since 1978, those members have been Robin Campbell, Norman Hassan, Earl Falconer, and Jimmy Brown.

Now touring as an eleven-piece band, the original members are accompanied by brass players Martin Meredith, Ian Thompson and Laurence Parry, Matt Campbell – Robin Campbell’s son – on backing vocals, Jahred Gordon on keyboards, and Gilly G as an MC. For five years, the band has featured the lead vocalist, Matt Doyle.

During their upcoming Australian tour, UB40 will celebrate 50 years of music and entertainment while also promoting their forthcoming album, Unstoppable.

In a statement, Robin Campbell said of the band’s return to Australia and New Zealand, “We are very excited to be coming back to Australia and New Zealand! This is the Unstoppable tour, because that’s exactly how we feel, after nearly 50 years of being a band.

“It is always special for us to reunite with so many fans and friends down under, and it will be a great celebration with Soul II Soul supporting. Get your dancing shoes on and grab your bottle of red, red wine, because we can’t help falling in love with Australia and NZ.”

Jimmy Brown added, “We have never had more fun in our careers than we’ve had on this Unstoppable tour. The band sounds amazing, the set is full of surprises, fans will be singing and dancing all night long, and we are playing better than we ever have in 50 years.

“I can’t wait to bring it to Australia and New Zealand, which have always been one of my favourite places to tour, because the fans are always up for a party.”
