Jordan Rakei Reveals 2026 Australian Tour Dates

Jordan Rakei is coming home this summer, touring in support of his forthcoming seventh album, 'A Safe Place to Be Wild.'

New Zealand-Australian multi-instrumentalist and producer Jordan Rakei is coming home this summer, today announcing a string of tour dates along the east coast of Australia, as well as a date in Auckland.

Currently based in London, the singer and renowned musician is touring in support of his highly anticipated forthcoming seventh album, A Safe Place to Be Wild, scheduled for release on Friday, 30 October, via Fontana.

A Safe Place to Be Wild has been described as Rakei’s “most instinctive and fearless work to date,” which approaches themes of self-acceptance, vulnerability, and freedom through an intimate, surreal, and emotionally direct lens. You can pre-order/pre-save the album here.

Rakei’s tour begins at Auckland’s Town Hall on Thursday, 3 December. It continues at Brisbane’s The Princess Theatre on Saturday, 5 December, Sydney’s Tumbalong Park as part of the newly launched FORMA Open-Air series on Sunday, 6 December, and concludes at Melbourne’s Forum on Thursday, 10 December.

Across six albums and over a decade of making music, Rakei has become a torchbearer for soul, jazz and alternative R&B genres. He’s collaborated with big-name artists such as Loyle Carner, Jalen Ngonda, JUNGLE’s Tom McFarland, Ezra Collective’s Femi Koleoso, Nubya Garcia, Tom Misch and more, cementing his position as one of the most respected figures in music.

Aside from his solo and collaborative ventures, Rakei has graced some of the music world’s biggest stages: Glastonbury, two sold-out nights at London’s Royal Albert Hall, and more.

In addition to performing at iconic venues at home, the shows in Australia and New Zealand precede his largest-ever tour of the UK and Europe, taking place next year.

Rakei’s sixth album, The Loop, received a nomination for Best Album at last year’s Ivor Novello Awards while, at home, it was nominated for an AIR Award and the prestigious Australian Music Prize.
