Finely Tuned Introduces New Event Series ‘FORMA’ Starring Kool & The Gang, Peach PRC, Hoodoo Gurus & More

The inaugural open-air concert series will be held at Sydney’s Tumbalong Park across two weekends this summer.

Get ready to celebrate, and get your dancing shoes on, because promoters Finely Tuned have just introduced their latest and biggest event series to date, FORMA.

The inaugural open-air concert series will be held at Sydney’s Tumbalong Park this summer. It runs across two huge weekends, starting on Thursday, 26 November, and concluding on Sunday, 6 November. The line-up has intergenerational appeal; a little something for everyone in the heart of Sydney.

For the event’s opening night – Friday, 27 November – FORMA has locked in an incredible double bill of Kool & The Gang and Sister Sledge ft. Sledgendary, celebrating six decades of funk between them. The following night, London’s esteemed deep house label, Anjunadeep, will host proceedings.

Lime Cordiale and Pacific Avenue, co-headlining another evening of music, close the opening weekend on Sunday, 29 November. Warming up the show’s proceedings will be Perth four-piece, Great Gable and rising alt-pop singer Lola Scott.

Peach PRC leads the second week of music on Thursday, 3 December. New Zealand heavyweights SIX60 return to Sydney the following night, with fellow Kiwi outfit SUB-TRIBE opening the show.

Hoodoo Gurus perform as part of FORMA on their national Rewind Tour – All Killer, No Filler, performing on Saturday, 5 December, alongside special guests Ratcat and The Stems.

As noted in a press release, FORMA isn’t just a live event series for adults. Organisers have lined up two free, family-friendly events on Thursday, 26 November, and the morning of Sunday, 6 December. For the closing evening, a yet-to-be-announced show will take place.

In addition to music, FORMA will bring curated food and bar offerings to Tumbalong Park.

Pre-sale tickets to FORMA events will be available from 12 pm AEST on Tuesday, 14 July, followed by the general sale at 12 pm AEST on Wednesday, 15 July. You can sign up for pre-sale access and find out more about the events on the FORMA website.
