This October, ThornBird will roll out three home state shows in WA; heading to Fremantle, Margaret River and Albany

ThornBird is the solo project of Vikki Thorn.  After more than 3 decades of fronting the iconic Australian band The Waifs, in 2022 she released her self-titled debut album ‘ThornBird', which received critical acclaim, 5-star reviews and garnered an ARIA nomination, and a WAMI nomination for best blues and roots artist.

ThornBird’s voice sits front and centre over a heavy-hitting live band that knows just the right amount of nothing to let her shine. Her songs are forged in the untamed swells of the deep south, and sound like a campfire at the edge of a continent.

Call it blues, folk or Australiana Americana; it’s all just music, and it’s what she does better than cleaning her house.

ThornBird’s music brings the weathered and burnished sound of an artist who has done some miles and been around the block and still can show up and sing like it’s the first time.
