Powderfinger ProfileThis morning, the news Australian music fans have waited for since 2010 is here: Powderfinger are back, and they’re embarking on a massive national tour.
After 16 long years, the Aussie rockers announced that they’ll be hitting the road next year, touring across the country in September and October 2027. The tour is landing in Brisbane, Cairns, Perth, Sydney, Adelaide and Melbourne – check out all the dates and venues below.
Upon announcing the shows today, Powderfinger said:
We are absolutely ecstatic to be coming together to play again. Over the years there have been tons of suggestions for us to go back on the road but, until now, it never felt quite right or lined up for all of us.
We have always been so grateful for the continued support from our long-term fans and over the years we've picked up a lot of new ones who have never seen us play. So, it feels right to bring all of these people (including our kids who were too young to see us play) together for a special run of shows around the country next year.
People often tell us that our music is connected to their most treasured and joyous memories. We hope to spread a little more of that joy when we make our way around the country with some of Australia’s best established and upcoming talent, and to make some new memories for us all.
Without further ado, here’s what you need to know about the tour.
