Video Interview: Broods
In what's been a massive year for NZ duo Broods, we chat albums and teleportation.. Here to prove New Zealand isn't just responsible for one pop starlet in Lorde, Georgia and Caleb Nott have had an equally impressive 12 months following the release of their self-titled debut EP earlier this YEAR. After their hype-affirming set at this year's Splendour In The Grass, Broods have just returned from an American tour celebrating the release of their debut album Evergreen, which has also included supporting the likes of international heavyweights like Sam Smith (along with HAIM and Chrvches supports to come). They're back in Australia next month to play a few headline shows, and we went duck-hunting with them at Splendour, before catching an increasingly rare smaller show with them in Perth a couple of months back. Check the dates after our little chat below: EVERGREEN TOUR DATES: Sat 22 Nov: The Metro, Sydney (TICKETS) Sun 23 Nov: The Metro, Sydney (TICKETS) Wed 26 Nov: The Forum, Melbourn

Video Interview: Indian Summer
Indian Summer talk Shiner, cooking and shaving people's heads.. To say Indian Summer have had a pretty great year would be selling them short. They've been steadily pumping out some rad singles/EPs via the kings over at Sweat It Out, most recently culminating in the release of their Shiner EP. That EP's title track, featuring Ginger & The Ghost, has been smashing it lately with a killer video clip (watch it HERE) and some big shows to support it. One of those was their appearance at this year's Splendour In The Grass, and seen as Chevy and Gabe are two of our favourite humans in the country/world, we jumped at the chance to sit down with them while there for a little chinwag and a spot of duck-fishing. Check our interview with them below, and their remaining tour dates below that: REMAINING TOUR DATES: Wed Aug 27 - Akuna Club @ Llama Bar, Perth Fri Aug 29 - Mondo Fridays @ Ginger, Perth Sat Aug 30 - Ship Faced Cruise, Sydney Sat Aug 30 - Carmens, Miranda Sat Sept 6 - Anyway @ The Bott

Text Message Interview: Sable x Slumberjack
Should have known we'd just get photos of weird Korean drinks and crying cats.. WA radio institution RTRFM are launching their epic 10 day Radiothon on Friday 15 August across four venues with a host of Perth's finest (seriously - check the details HERE), and the apple in our eye you know as Sable will be smashing things out at the Flyrite stage. There, along with Lower Spectrum and Cloudwaves DJs, he'll be joined by good pals Slumberjack (you might remember a little ditty they released together called SPRINTER), so we figured why not ask these two production behemoths to take a break from sexting and actually interview each other via the iPhone. We should have known it'd just be full of weird pictures, Korean beverages and sad cats, but if you dig a little deeper there's some sneaky little bits of info here and there that might just pique your interest.

A video recap of Sable's Splendour times, plus a new banger - Mt Moon.. Header photo by Slice Of Life. Today we have not one but two epic slices of Sable business for ya'all - starting with a new track he dropped yesterday called Mt Moon. It's not as sugary sweet as we're used to seeing from the Perth producer, in fact it's an entirely different - and wholly tougher - beast. One we guarantee will not only destroy whatever dancefloor it touches, but will get stuck in your head for a damn long time: Secondly, following our RUFUS interview/photo diary and the Splendour PHOTO ALBUM, here's a little video recap of Sable's time at Splendour In The Grass 2014.
